TRYOUTS FOR NEXT SEASON WILL BE JULY 27-31 2026!

A makeup tryout date will be offered a in early August  for athletes that are 

traveling July 27-31 so long as there are still spots available.

An intermediate cheer class will be offered on 

Monday nights 6-7:30pm May to July 

for athletes interested in working to improve/maintain

their stunting & tumbling skills in preparation for tryouts. 

This program is $175 and will run May 4th through July 20th. 

Athletes that participate in this program will have their tryout fee waived. Participation in this program does NOT guarantee you a spot on next year's competition teams.

CUBS: Ages 8 & Under (Level 1 Mini-Season, Non-Tryout Team)

Cubs registration opens August 1st!

Practices

Oct-Feb: Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm

Nov or Dec: One 2hr Saturday Practice (Date TBD based on family schedules) 

Performances

Feb: 1 Competition (In NC)

April: PCC Spring Showcase

Preferred/Required Skills

No minimum skills required!

Costs

$35 Registration Fee

$75 per month Tuition (Oct-Feb) and Competition Team Fee of $210 

(Competition Team Fee can be split into 2 payments)

JAGUARS: Ages 14 & Under (Level 1)

Practices 

Aug-Oct: Mon 6:30-8pm

Sept or Oct: One 4 hr Saturday practice (Date TBD based on athlete schedules)

Nov-Jan: Mon 6:30-8pm and Wed 6-8pm

Feb-April: Mon 6:30-8pm, Wed 6-8pm and 1 Saturday 8-10am per month

Performances

October: Local Showcase

Feb-April: 2 Competitions (In NC, SC, or VA)

April: PCC Spring Showcase

Preferred/Required Skills

Cartwheel Required, Back Walkover preferred

Two leg prep as a base, back, or flyer required

Single leg prep as a base, back or flyer preferred

Costs

$35 Non-Refundable Tryout Fee

$95 per month Tuition (Aug-Apr) and Competition Team Fee of $495 

(Competition Team Fee can be split into 3 to 4 payments)

BOBCATS: Ages 11-17 (Level 2)

Practices 

Aug-Oct: Mon 5:30-6:45pm

Sept or Oct: One 4 hr Saturday practice (Date TBD based on athlete schedules)

Nov-Jan: Mon 5:30-6:45pm and Thurs 6-8pm

Feb-April: Mon 5:30-6:45pm, Thurs 6-8pm and 1 Saturday 10am-12pm per month

Performances

March-May: 3 Competitions (2 In NC, SC, or VA  and 1 in FL)

April: PCC Spring Showcase

Back Handspring preferred

Single leg prep as a base, back, or flyer required

Costs

$35 Non-Refundable Tryout Fee

$95 per month Tuition (Aug-Apr) and Competition Team Fee of $615

(Competition Team Fee can be split into 4 to 6 payments)

We believe that cheer should be accessible for all athletes. 

Beginning with our 2026-2027 competition season, we will be rolling out a

financial assistance program. This program will offer prorated tuition for a

small number of qualifying competition athletes based on household income. 

Please note that there are very limited spots available within this program.

Additionally, applying for this program does not affect your athletes tryout 

decision.  If you are interested in receiving the financial assistance application 

packet please reach out to us at PortCityCheerleading@gmail.com. All applicants 

will be required to submit proof of income as part of the decision process. 

Decisions will be made by July 15th so that

families can plan accordingly for Tryout Week.

Please note, if you are approved for the financial assistance program, it does NOT 

guarantee your athlete a spot on a competition team. They will still need to tryout the

week of July 27th and earn placement via tryout score sheets. 

 It is imperative for the benefit of the team that all athletes attend all practices. 

If one athlete is missing, their entire stunt group is unable to efficiently practice.
